Neighbor Island Information
Neighbor Island Travel supports are available for public and charter school employees and students and HĀ Design Teams based on availability and timeliness of registration. Please review all information before registering to determine what supports you will be requesting. Note: individual requests will not be accommodated for any of the options listed below. If you choose to make your own arrangements, you will be responsible for all travel costs. Per diem will not be provided.
How will the summit accommodate neighbor island participants?
We recognize that it can be cost prohibitive for neighbor island. OHE will offer the following for neighbor island public and charter school employees and students or HĀ Design Team members who register.
- 1. Roundtrip airfare from your identified airport (OHE will book the flight to align to the HĀ Summit schedule);
- a. Oahu participants: Leaving early morning of April 5 and returning early evening of April 6
- b. All other outer island participants: Leaving early evening of April 4 and returning evening of April 6
- 2. Shuttle service to and from all summit events:
- 3. Overnight accommodations;
- a. dorm or cabin accommodations
- b. Oahu participants: One night accommodation for the evening of April 5
- c. All other outer island participants: Two nights accommodations for the evenings of April 4 and 5
Please complete the Eventbrite registration information and mark "yes" that you are coming from a neighbor island and answer the follow-up questions. We will follow up with further details once registration has closed on February 9, 2018. Register early as there are a limited amount of travel funds available. First come, first served.
